Your Mind Is Amazing

Volumes of information have been written about the subconscious mind and if you have a couple of years of spare time, you may want to read all those books.  In the meantime, this is what you really need to know:

 

All the positive and negative beliefs, habits, and qualities you have today were programmed into your subconscious mind when you were a little kid.  Way back then your subconscious was wide open like a gift box with no lid.  Every belief that your parents had about health, money, love, self worth, relationships, etc., was repeatedly dropped right into your head without question.

 

And it wasn’t only what your parents said, it was also how they felt.  If you had a cold or angry parent (even if they seethed silently), your belief became “the world is a cold and angry place”.  Conversely if you had a warm and relaxed parent, your belief became “the world is a warm friendly place”.   Not only did the words form your inner programming, so did the energy of your parents’ repetitive emotions.

 

 

Around the time you turned ten years old, the lid (or critical factor) was placed on the box and your basic belief system programming was sealed inside.  All the good stuff and all the not so good stuff.

 

Since way back then you’ve been on autopilot.

 

Ever hear that you only use 10% of your mind?   (I suspect that at times some of us aren’t even using that much!)  Your conscious mind – the one you’re using right now as you read this – is only 10% of your total mind.  The other 90% is the subconscious.

 

The subconscious is like a robot.  Once  programmed, it stays on autopilot 24 hours a day. It not only controls all your beliefs, habits, and emotional reactions, it also stores every single memory even from previous lives.  It’s responsible for bodily functions like your breathing, heart rate, hunger, blood pressure, organ function, etc.   And thank goodness it works that way.  You’d be exhausted if you had to tell yourself to take a breath every few seconds or direct your blood where to flow.

 

Let’s keep it simple.  None of us are concerned or complaining about the things that are going well for us.  But we do want to upgrade the limiting beliefs or programming that holds us back from success and really enjoying life.

When you’re using your conscious mind telling yourself something like “I’m never going to eat junk food again” or “this year I’m going to stop procrastinating”,  it simply doesn’t work.  Your conscious mind is on the outside of the robot.   The settings are on the inside.

Until you learn the technique to change the robot’s programming, the autopilot will take the same route every single time no matter how much you want to go in a different direction.

How can the programming be changed?

 

 

Listening to Guided Imagery is the key.  To open the robot and adjust the settings in the subconscious, you must be in a deeply relaxed state.  Once you get inside, the limiting settings can be removed and the new improved thoughts can be installed.  Your life changes for the better.   Don’t work harder, work smarter.
